Our Causes

As active community members and our belief in support of causes related to our industry, we support giving to charitable organizations and causes.

In 2010, the partners of Western States Fire Investigations have made the commitment of donating 5% of our gross profits for the remainder of our business life. All future profits will generate a 5% percent donation of the gross to a related and worthy organization or cause. We have currently chosen to donate to the following organizations and causes.

Foundation for Burns and Trauma:
The Foundation for Burns and Trauma is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to assist burn victims and their families in becoming burn survivors through rehabilitation, treatment and research: the reduction of death and injury from burns and fire through prevention education; and to serve as an advocacy partner for the prevention of trauma associated with other injuries. We encourage you to learn more about the great work this organization does by following this

Foundation for Arizona Arson Education:
The Foundation for Arizona Arson Education is an organization in the process of incorporating. Founded by the partners of Western States Fire Investigations, the mission of the foundation is to provide financial support to persons seeking to become educated in the profession of fire/arson investigation. The foundation supports current members of the fire and police service desiring to obtain education and potential members of the fire/arson investigator community by providing financial relief of the cost of an accredited or recognized course in fire/arson education. Courses can include basic investigation to advanced. The foundation can support requests to attend the National Fire Academy (meal costs), International Association of Arson Investigators including the Arizona Chapter, National Association of Fire Investigators and any accredited community college in Arizona. Since this foundation is in the progress of incorporating, funding is limited in 2010. In the future applications will be made available for persons desiring to be awarded course cost fees. Currently the foundation is seeking to find persons interested in serving on the board. Please
email us for more information about the duties of the board and potentially being selected to serve on the board. Persons interested in helping in the way of donations should also email us for more information (at this time donations are not tax deductible).

Smoke Alarm Installation:
Although there are plenty of organizations that provide smoke alarm evaluation and installation, Western States Fire Investigations is proud to offer smoke alarm installation for those in need. A working smoke alarm in the home is a proven method to save lives. 84% of all persons who die from fire are in the home; an estimated 2/3 of all persons who died in a residential fire died without a functioning smoke alarm! Almost every fire department has a free smoke alarm installation program, however if you find yourself or someone you know that has the need for smoke alarm installation, please contact us so that we can assist in either finding an agency to help or us installing smoke alarms for you at no cost.
